AN ESTONIAN MAN has been charged with conspiracy to murder at the Criminal Courts of Justice.
Imre Arakas appeared at the complex on Dublin’s Parkgate Street this evening.
Dressed in jeans and a US Air Force t-shirt, he addressed the court saying he did not understand the court procedure.
“I’m kind of new here,” he told the court, adding that he is currently unemployed.
Imre Arakas has been charged with conspiring to murder Dublin man James Gately in Northern Ireland.
The 58-year-old, of Sopruse, Talinn, Estonia, cannot apply for bail in the District Court due to the severity of the charge. An application has to be made to the High Court.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before court again next week.
He has been granted legal aid.
